1- Can anyone apply for the scholarship?
Any current early childhood teacher, or administrator working in a licensed center, or Headstart program may apply.
Applicants must have the support of the program director/owner
2-How long will it take to complete my degree?
TEACH Recipients are not traditional students. All work full time, and many have families and other responsibilities. This unique situation means recipients take only 1-2 classes at a time. Completion of an associates degree will take 4-5 years.
3- Are classes available online/at night.
YES! With the exception of the lab requirements most classes can be completed online or in the evenings.
4- What is my cost to attend classes after the scholarship?
Recipients will be responsible to pay the admission application fee of $40
Recipients are responsible for 10% of the cost of tuition and books.
At Salt Lake Community College, that is $50/class and average of $10/book.
Recipients are always 100% responsible for any non resident tuition costs, parking fees, note books, and other supplies.
